For tutors
Lead-magnet free 30-min trial captures the parent. Follow-up lessons require deposit, no more "we'll come back to you" loops.
"10-lesson GCSE Maths block, £300" sells as a single purchase. Parents commit once; you schedule sessions as you go.
Block off school holidays, your own days off, and recurring commitments in seconds. The booking calendar respects all of them.
The bit nobody enjoys
A tutor's diary is not a series of appointments. It is a small number of standing slots that repeat for a term, interrupted by half term, exam study leave, a family holiday and the week you are away yourself.
Set a student up with their weekly slot in one action, for as many weeks as the term runs. Every session appears in the diary as a real session, so you can see the whole term rather than holding it in your head. Block out half term and your own week away first, and any session that would have landed there is skipped and reported back to you rather than quietly double-booked.
When a term ends, cancelling what remains of a series is one action rather than eleven.

Two people, one booking
Almost every booking tool assumes the person filling in the form is the person turning up. In tutoring that is usually wrong, and it causes small problems all term: reminders going to a fourteen year old's inbox, notes filed under the wrong name, a parent who cannot see what has been booked.
Your booking form asks whatever you want it to ask, so the parent's details are the account and the student's name, year group, subject and exam board sit against the booking. Reminders and confirmations go to the parent, which is who needs them.
Those details stay with the client, so a year later you still know that this is the GCSE Higher student sitting AQA in June, without going back through a message thread to find out.
Step 3 of 4
Who is this for
The person paying and the person you teach, on one booking.
See it working
The demo runs on the same system you get: a repeating lesson, a package that counts itself down, a free first lesson, a confirmation email to the parent.
Where the lesson happens
Most tutors now do both, and they are not the same thing to schedule. An online lesson can start at seven and finish at eight. An in-person lesson across town needs half an hour either side that nobody is paying for.
So list them as separate services with different durations and, if you charge differently, different prices. An hour online blocks an hour. An hour at a student's house blocks the time it actually takes you.
Being honest about a limitation: Solovi does not work out travel time between addresses or restrict bookings by postcode. Building the travel into the service length is how most tutors handle it, and it works, but a tutor covering a wide area with tight gaps will want to keep an eye on the diary rather than trust it blindly.

Getting paid
Chasing money is unpleasant in any trade and worse in this one, because you have a relationship with the family and you will see them again next Tuesday.
Parents can pay by card when they book, in full or as a deposit, and it goes straight to your own Stripe account. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work, which is what most people actually use on a phone.
For a block of lessons, gift cards do the job even though the name suggests presents. Sell a term of ten lessons as a fixed value, the parent pays once, and the balance draws down as sessions are booked. The money is with you at the start of term rather than trickling in through it.
Solovi takes 0% of any of it. Our income is the monthly subscription, so the only deduction is Stripe's standard card fee.

Not just a diary
A parent choosing a tutor is careful about it. They search, they read, they compare two or three, and they look for the things that suggest you are established rather than improvising. A booking link at the end of that is useful; being in it at all is the harder part.
So the monthly fee is not renting a booking form. It covers the whole of your digital presence, and the parts nobody thinks to ask about are the ones that do the work:
A site search engines can actually read.
Your pages are built on the server, so a crawler is handed the finished text rather than an empty shell it has to run JavaScript to understand. Your services, prices, hours and address are in the page itself.
Structured data, which is the version machines read.
The site publishes your business details in the standard format Google and others expect: what you are, where you are, when you are open. It is the difference between a page that mentions your hours and a page that states them in a way software can use.
Your Google Business Profile, set up properly.
Categories, service area, hours, photos and services, all filled in and pointed at your own site. This is free and it is the single biggest lever in local search, and most businesses have it half done.
Local SEO, and backlinks each month on Local and above.
Along with a report so you can see what changed rather than taking our word for it.
A listing in the Solovi UK directory,
featured above the businesses that are not customers, on every page that matches what you do and where you are.
And the newer one, which almost nobody is set up for. People increasingly ask an assistant instead of scrolling a results page. Those systems answer from pages they can read and cite: your own site, your Google profile, articles that mention you. A profile inside a booking app is not really a page in that sense, it is a record in somebody's database. Being readable is not something you can buy your way into later, and it is why a site of your own has quietly become more valuable than it was two years ago.
We cannot promise you a place in anybody's answers, and treat anyone who does with suspicion. What we can do is make sure there is something of yours worth reading, in a form that can be read.

Yes. Set the weekly slot up once, for as many weeks as the term runs. Every lesson appears in the diary as a real session. Block half term and your own time off first and any lesson that would have landed there is skipped, with the skipped dates reported back to you.
Yes. The parent's details are the account, so confirmations and reminders go to them, and the student's name, year group, subject and exam board sit against the booking. Those details stay on file, so next year you still know which board they are sitting.
Yes. List them as separate services with their own durations and prices, so an hour online blocks an hour and an hour at a student's house blocks the time it really costs you including travel.
Yes, using gift cards, which work for blocks as well as presents. Sell a term as a fixed value, the parent pays once by card, and the balance draws down as lessons are booked. Gift cards are on the Local and Bespoke tiers.
If it brings you students you would not otherwise meet, yes, and a commission on genuinely new business can be worth paying. The case for having your own site as well is that it costs the same whether you get one student or twenty, and a parent who has been given your name should find you rather than a profile among fifty others.
A flat monthly fee: £19 for Solo, £39 for Local, £79 for Bespoke, with 0% commission on everything parents pay. Sign up before 31 December 2026 and Local locks at £29 and Bespoke at £49 for as long as you stay. Solo has a 30-day free trial with no card required.
