A site that puts your portfolio front and centre, plus a booking system for portraits, weddings, brand shoots, and consultations. Card-on-file holds every booking.
No credit card. No setup fee. 30-day money back on paid plans.
Gallery-led template + deposit booking, both in one product.
For photographers
Your work is the hero. Custom-designed gallery layouts, full-bleed image hero, a portfolio that converts browsers into bookings.
A £1,200 wedding shoot? Take a £200 deposit upfront. The system collects the balance later via an automated email a week before the date.
Lead-magnet "free 30-min discovery call" gets warm leads on your calendar without the deposit friction. Convert from there.
Let us be straight first
Much of this site is about instant online booking, and for a barber that is exactly right. For photography it is only half true, and it is worth saying which half.
A wedding is a considered purchase with a contract behind it. Nobody picks a Saturday in July from a dropdown and pays a deposit to a stranger. That work starts with an enquiry, moves to a conversation, and closes on trust.
But the conversation itself is bookable, and that is the part most photographers leave on the table. Instead of a form that says you will reply within 48 hours, put your genuinely free hours on the page and let somebody book a twenty-minute call in one of them. A video call or a phone call, whichever you prefer, chosen by them at eleven at night when they are looking, not arranged over four emails across a week.
That matters more in this trade than almost any other, because couples enquire with several photographers on the same evening and the one who gets the conversation first usually gets the booking. A form puts you in a queue behind whoever answers fastest. A booked call puts the date in both diaries before anyone has replied to anything.
And the rest of a photography business is more straightforward still. Newborn sessions, family shoots, headshots, cake smashes, mini sessions in a park in October: those are short, fixed-length, fixed-price and repeatable, and making somebody email to arrange one loses a proportion of them every time.
So the useful shape is all three: a bookable call for the big work, straight booking for the sessions, and a plain enquiry form for anything that fits neither. One site that treats them differently instead of funnelling everything into the same contact form.

Where booking earns its place
Mini sessions are the clearest case. You block out a Sunday, split it into twenty-minute slots at a fixed price, and post about it. What normally follows is forty messages asking what times are left, answered one at a time, while the good slots go to whoever happened to message first rather than whoever paid first.
A booking page turns that into a link. People see the remaining times, pick one, pay, and the slot is gone. You find out by notification instead of by inbox, and the day is sold while you are doing something else.
The same applies to headshots, newborn sessions and anything else with a known length and a known price. Payment at booking is normal for this kind of work and nobody blinks at it, which means the day is not just booked but paid for.

The demo runs on the same system you get: sessions with real durations, a deposit that holds a date, an enquiry form for the big days, a confirmation text.
Holding a date
Every photographer has held a Saturday for somebody who was definitely going to confirm, and then did not. In a trade where you can only sell each Saturday once, that is expensive in a way an hourly business never quite feels.
You can take a booking fee at the point of booking, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and set it per session type so a twenty-minute mini session is not treated like a full-day shoot. Money reaches your own Stripe account directly, with Apple Pay and Google Pay working out of the box.
You can also write your own cancellation terms in your own words and have them shown before anyone commits. For larger work most photographers will still want a proper contract, and nothing here replaces one; this covers the fee and the date rather than the whole agreement.
Whatever is paid, Solovi takes 0% of it. Our income is the monthly subscription, so the only deduction is Stripe's standard card fee.

The work itself
No other trade on this site is judged so completely on how the work is presented. A plumber can get away with a plain site. A photographer whose images are shown small, slowly, or squeezed by a template has actively lost work with it.
So the galleries are the point rather than a feature: large images, proper full-screen viewing, and pages that load quickly on a phone, because a slow gallery is a closed tab.
Instagram is where most photographers show their work, and it is good at that. What it will never do is appear when somebody searches for a family photographer in your town, and it does not let you separate weddings from newborns from headshots so each audience sees what it came for. A site does both, and the pictures on it belong to you rather than to a feed.
The Bespoke tier exists mainly for this kind of business: a custom design rather than a template, because for a photographer the design is part of the product.

Your work, full width

Not just a diary
Instagram shows your work to people who already follow you. It will never appear when somebody searches for a newborn photographer in your county, and that person is ready to book in a way a follower is not.
So the monthly fee is not renting a booking form. It covers the whole of your digital presence, and the parts nobody thinks to ask about are the ones that do the work:
A site search engines can actually read.
Your pages are built on the server, so a crawler is handed the finished text rather than an empty shell it has to run JavaScript to understand. Your services, prices, hours and address are in the page itself.
Structured data, which is the version machines read.
The site publishes your business details in the standard format Google and others expect: what you are, where you are, when you are open. It is the difference between a page that mentions your hours and a page that states them in a way software can use.
Your Google Business Profile, set up properly.
Categories, service area, hours, photos and services, all filled in and pointed at your own site. This is free and it is the single biggest lever in local search, and most businesses have it half done.
Local SEO, and backlinks each month on Local and above.
Along with a report so you can see what changed rather than taking our word for it.
A listing in the Solovi UK directory,
featured above the businesses that are not customers, on every page that matches what you do and where you are.
And the newer one, which almost nobody is set up for. People increasingly ask an assistant instead of scrolling a results page. Those systems answer from pages they can read and cite: your own site, your Google profile, articles that mention you. A profile inside a booking app is not really a page in that sense, it is a record in somebody's database. Being readable is not something you can buy your way into later, and it is why a site of your own has quietly become more valuable than it was two years ago.
We cannot promise you a place in anybody's answers, and treat anyone who does with suspicion. What we can do is make sure there is something of yours worth reading, in a form that can be read.
Built for you

Solovi does not host client galleries for delivery or sell prints. Keep whatever you use for that; this is the shop window and the diary in front of it.
How it works
Send us the work.
The images you want shown and how you want them grouped, your packages and prices, what is included, and which work should be bookable rather than enquiry.
We build it.
The site and the galleries, the bookable sessions, the booking fees, the enquiry questions, and Stripe so payments reach your account.
You check it over.
We send it before anything goes live, and for a photographer we expect notes on the design. Tell us and we change it.
It goes live and we point everything at it.
Your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, your existing domain if you have one.
Live in 7 days or your money back, and paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Not for the wedding date itself, no. But the consultation is bookable, and that is where it earns its place: put your free hours on the page and let a couple book a twenty-minute call rather than sending a form and waiting. Couples usually enquire with several photographers the same evening, and a booked call beats being in somebody's inbox queue. Booking also suits engagement shoots, mini sessions and headshots outright.
Yes, and this is where it pays for itself fastest. Block out the day, set the slot length and price, and share the link. People take the remaining slots and pay for them, instead of forty messages asking what is left.
No. Solovi is the public site, the booking and the payments. Client delivery, proofing and print sales are a different job and there are good tools for it; keep the one you use. We would rather say that than have you find out after you have moved.
Yes, as a percentage or a fixed amount and set per session type, so a mini session and a full day are treated differently. It reaches your own Stripe account and Solovi takes 0%. For larger work you will still want a proper contract; this holds the date and the fee, not the whole agreement.
It is very good at showing work and building an audience. It will not appear when somebody searches for a photographer in your town, it does not let you separate weddings from newborns so each audience sees what it came for, and the account is not yours in any meaningful sense. Most photographers want both rather than one.
Bespoke, more often than not, because it is a custom design rather than a template and for this trade the design is part of the product. Local works well if you want a clean, quick site with your own domain and gift cards. Solo is really for testing the water.
